@nu ok so it took me a while to figure this out but I'm fairly positive the first explicit definite article occurs in the last word of Isaiah 1:16 ( הָרֵֽעַ׃ ) where הָ is the definite article ("the"). explicit definite articles seem to be quite rare in hebrew (i think some words are indefinite or definite based on grammatical structure), and they often also get phonologically absorbed into prepositions. I had to first search the text for occurrences of the article and then carefully match the hebrew transcript to the photo of the scroll.

interestingly enough that verse is translated to:
Wash yourselves clean;
Put your evil doings
Away from My sight.
Cease to do evil;

if the definite article was translated it would be "Cease to do the evil", but that sounds weird in english. However! this is made up for by many places in which the english translation has "the" and the hebrew original does not have a explicit definite article, it even starts with that ("The prophecies of Isaiah son of Amoz...")

so is she kinda implying that "Frauen" refers to only cishet women? (And that "Femboy" is a synonym to "non-cis woman"?) Or what's going on.

hmmm yeah, even if the library retains a ton of state in the background, you would still be wasting CPU time doing the API calls for drawing (even if the library knows they can be skipped). The difference here is like spinlocking vs process actually blocking on a mutex
