Fair enough, I somehow assumed it would always show the public IP via a 3rd party service. In that scenario it would change the IP when using a global VPN like Mullvad, but shouldn't change with a private VPN.

Most probably it's swapping some memory (your guess whether that memory is actually needed), perhaps it's waiting for some hardware to respond

Wait hold on a second, is it a zombie process? It might just mean that the parent process hasn't bothered to wait for its child's death yet and everything is actually cleaned up already.

Yes yes I know, it was a general example. Here's an example of the hypothetical Linux that doesn't bother to clean up after processes: Web server binds to :80, crashes, kernel doesn't clean it up, now you can't bind to that port again AKA you can't just restart the webserver. Go have fun with commandline tools to forcefully close an open socket or restart your computer.

The average African-American is not actively oppressing anyone, but they're more privileged than the average third worlder just out of the fact they're living in the imperial core. (I would say even the average white man probably isn't actively oppressing anyone.) Trans men are obviously on quite a lower rung than cis men, that doesn't mean they can't be on a higher rung than women or specifically trans women.

I think it might also be worth it to analyze this from "is the person socially passing" viewpoint, I truly believe that a passing trans man would get treated better than a cis woman. I have no idea about non-passing, wouldn't be surprised it's the same or lower than cis women.

I hate how people just end up calling each other Kapos instead of just peacefully communicating that yeah there is an inherent privilege difference and deal with it like normal people not like crabs in a bucket.
