                      @gigalomaniac okay so what happened is they forgot i said no tomatoes so i picked the tomatoes out and put them on the paper the sandwich was wrapped in which i had set on my laptop.

                      Then I walked away for 15 hours and the juices had seeped through the paper in that time and now a part of the top of my thinkpad smells like tomato and i had to remove a sticker.

                                                    Maybe a request like "you don't need to understand the programming language, but you should be able to tell me what a line or a block of code is supposed to do and why"? Yes, that can be done with an LLM as well, but for a benign contributor it means "at least review what you submit"

                                                    Also add some kind of guidelines of "don't blow up the diff size needlessly" without explicit number limits, just so you can say "why does this code change so much, can you split it into separate patches" if it's a giant pot of gruel

                                                      This is a cry for help. [SENSITIVE CONTENT]I could try to look in the closet and maybe undust some old crusty keyboard in order to use emacs but if vim makes splitting windows/creating and switching tabs easy in normal mode with a key combo, tell me.

                                                      There are still things about acme I don't like (middle click execute scares the shit out of me.) and I'd probably be nerfing myself a bit if I were to try and embrace the mouse more. I greatly prefer using a keyboard shortcut to do something rather than middle clicking a command in a title bar.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT]I might have larger hands or I just never learnt the proper touch typing hand placement but yeah. To be fair when I first read the emacs tutorial I pretty much ignored all that and used the arrow keys. And then slowly picked them all up, bonus is that the simple navigation & editing keybinds work in stuff like bash/zsh prompts (and everything that uses readline in general i believe)
