If I didn't mess anything up:
max(min(a, b), min(max(a, b), c)). 3 potentially branchless comparisons (min(a, b) and max(a, b) can both be done with the same comparison, but depending on hardware, it might be simpler to do 4 comparisons), this also works with non-integers....
