    Technically speaking, snac2 doesn't care about who follows you, it just sends all your posts to every instance it knows about (had a guy be super perplexed why my posts were federating to his single user instance)

        Oh that's just why, eg, your username isn't added to the CC when I reply to you (usually at least). It's just that instead of putting the tags all at the start, they're put at the end after the useful content. (And it's done by the software, I am not doing it manually, tho I can edit it if I want)

                      Your user is in the reply field of the AP object. You can also test this on pleroma, reply to someone but remove all tags from the post, the person who made the post will still get tagged and get a notification.
