quicksort requires you select N (usually 1) sorted pivot values and then split the array in N+1 segments where every value is between two pivots. N=1 is the simple thing everyone knows, N=2 is doable, anything higher usually requires too much magic. having the exact same amount of segments as there are array elements would require having a ton of pivot values which will either be badly selected or, you'll essentially end up sorting the array just to pick the pivots
