The myth of Nazi efficiency is one of the reasons people don't recognize actual fascism rising around us. We keep expecting some terrifying Ubermensch-led regime to show up and whip the nation into a well-oiled machine. That's what fascism looks like to most Americans.

Turns out, however, that the Nazis were actually a bunch of bumbling chucklefuck imbeciles whose sheer incompetence would be hilarious if it wasn't for the whole 'genocide' thing. Hitler was a lazy ignoramus who ate too much cake and farted constantly, and his government never had any clue what the fuck was going on or what he wanted them to do until the last minute. The Nazis largely ignored stuff like 'physics' and 'reality,' because that was stuff for evil Jews, not proper Aryan supermen who wanted to waste their time and money building big stupid tanks that would sink into the ground or gigantic fucking railway cannons that were only ever used a handful of times, all while the Allies were busy storming their way toward Berlin.

Fascist governments aren't what you see in the movies. What you're seeing is how fascists *want* to be portrayed, the way they *imagine* themselves to be. In reality, fascist governments are a nonstop circus of dumbfuckery, lurching from one human rights atrocity to the next, ruining countless millions of lives for absolutely nothing at all beyond the shameless greed of sycophants and grifters who want desperately to curry favor with their limp-dicked shitsack of a leader.

That's what fascism looks like, and yeah, a particularly stupid and pathetic version of it has been slowly squeezed out of Satan's asshole over the last four years in Washington, D.C. Don't look for hyper-organization, don't look for efficiency, don't look for "the trains running on time." Look for pointless, stupid, ignorant evil.
