@eris basically , my specific bug was that
(r_cm[j].powi(3) - r_cm[j - 1].powi(3))
is not the same as
((r_cm[j].powi(3)) - (r_cm[j - 1].powi(3)))
which was very very surprising to me
...

@eris idk ! i suspect it has smth to do with the fact that theres some indexing coming right before . still , very messed up , should do more testing and send an issue when i have the time
